GT Cup Championship tops TV viewing figures

Official BARB viewing figures show that the 2011 GT Cup Championship presented by Charlie George attracted more viewers than any other programme on Motors TV, with over 35,000 fans watching the opening round from Silverstone in its first weekend on air.

The dedicated 30-minute programme, featuring the racing highlights and trackside action from races one and two of the 2011 GT Cup Championship, was aired for the first time on Friday 29th April at 7.25pm and attracted over 16,000 viewers, it then went on to attract a further 13,000 viewers for the repeat airing on Sunday 1st May, totalling in excess of 35,000 viewers in total.

Round 2 of The GT Cup Championship is taking place at Oulton Park this Saturday 14th May, highlights from the weekend will air on Motors TV on Friday 27th May at 7.25pm and will be viewable on the official website
